Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Best Way to Collect Star Bits

As far as I know, from what I've experienced this is the best way to get as many star bits as you can in a short amount of time.

It's approximately 175 - 180 Star Bits per minute.

Note: Yes, you keep your star bits after you die, so do this about 6 - 8 times until you reach 999 star bits and collect the star at the end to make sure you got all 999 of them. DO NOT press + and "Return to Map", you will lose all your star bits.

If anyone knows a faster way, please let me know!
