This Would be Something You'd See the Jackass Crew Fucking Around With.

@dhoyt7141 what about camera on batterys ? does it work on that too ?

The metal on the screwdriver is more conductive than human skin. That's why it'll create a larger spark than it would on a person. You can try tazing a nonmetal wall to see if it has the same effect.

Would the circuit work with a more powerful capacitor? Could it be able to charge a larger capacitor?

@pwnagnerd I would think it would work to an extent, but I do not know what that would be. Keep in mind, this "taser" isn't nearly enough to hurt someone (from what I know). I do not think the current/voltage is enough to bridge across a person's skin.
I don't know for sure, but I believe it is the current, not the voltage which shocks the person. This is why a Tesla coin doesn't kill people (again, I think...)!

@pwnagnerd Yes, that would work, but it would drain more charge from the batteries, making them last less time. If you wanted a bigger spark, you would need to increase the voltage.

umm, maybe you want to test the "Final Product" before making the video.

What? I'm not going to sell it or anything... I'm just doing this for a little project. What do you mean "Final Product"?
dhoyt7141 3 years ago
i mean like the part where you didn't know why it wasn't working. and by final product, i mean the result of something you did. Like the product of a multiplication.

Oh, I see. Well, I'm not too concerned about it seeing as it just uses a little more of your time on YouTube, and since you are already wasting time on this site, I'm not too concerned. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion and how you use your time, but so am I.
Regardless, you are right and I suppose I am somehow entitled to give you credit for your observation. In the future, I will test my "product" before making a mindless video demonstrating a simple device which took 20 minutes to make.
