@ElectriksodaXploder You ARE a teenager! Teenagers are supposed to question authority! But these days, only in safe ways. Nonconformity is the same thing as conformity. You want friends, but also people who are true to themselves, not robots!

@Kvivian Everything that our society is working toward is like the Late Roman Empire, a time I have studied exhastively. Hyper-inflation, the obscenely rich, terribly poor, the rise of cults of all sorts, and people talking about the end of the world. I think unless good people work for the truth, the liars will strangle the truth to death. The Romans had Bread and Games too, you know. A society that must expand, like America, must have a place the discontented can go.

@Kvivian I LOATHED having to do sports that had no relevance to me. I loved horses, but live in a big city, and the physical things I wanted to do were denied me. I was told to BE A MAN, which meant to me, reading widely, be a adult without understanding, and hurt others. Until we pay our public school teachers and regular policemen and firefighters and emergency personnel more than great sports players, our society will go the way of ancient Rome. We are no more, or less, noble. . . conti.

@Kvivian I could not talk about what was in my heart unless I was safe. Does a rape victim intentionally put herself in harms way for no reason? I was beat up in a locker room for NO REASON I know! If the person who did it would have confessed to me, I would have forgiven them and not turned them in. I HATE violence! But I will not suffer for no reason. We think others are just like us. . . and then find it is not so. I would gladly be punished for a reason . . . . Continued.

@Kvivian It is hard to talk when it is time to talk. Asbergers/Autism reinforces natural shyness, I think, and I have to retreat into myself. Do you really want to everything about a person? It is not getting us to talk, but stopping us talking that is the problem. Everyone is alone sometimes. AS people are alone in our heads. We are deer among potential wolves! Think about that. Read Elizabeth Moons The Speed of Dark, and you will get some idea of what it is like. Continued. . .

@Papanda1995 Our whole system of advertising is to stress to people what they could have if they worked like a dog every day of their lives. I cannot STAND false advertising. Life is about getting what you really want, and doing things you like with real friends. Autism to me means that very few people know what I really want. When people who are SURE to ruin themselves if they keep going down a false path attack you, because you made yourself a target, anger is REALLY healthy.

@proceo12 blind people HAVE to develop wonderful hearing. Autism Spectrum children have more vocabulary, but they do always understand it.

@Sasukelegend5 I know what you mean, I used to think that knowing everything would make people impressed and therefore want to be my friend, but apparantly they think I should be like most teenage girls who are stupid, like listening to Taylor Swift, love shopping, and other stuff I think is pointless

@ElectriksodaXploder I feel the same way at times, most of the other teenage girls my age love talking about guys, listening to the same types of music, and shopping, and I'm not really into that, so I often feel wierd like I'm not even a girl. Don't worry, you're not the only one, I would guess a lot of us Aspies are like that, it's nothing to be ashamed of, it's just who you are.

@Kvivian Yes, we're all different. It's not always that we don't like to express ourselves, with some of us we just don't know how. In my case, I don't like to talk or express my emotions (and I'm a teenage girl so obviously I stand out) and the few times I do want to, I'm not very good at it and it will usually come out very awkward sometimes.
Amazing how we regard kids with AS as "freaks" when they're so much smarter than kids their own age. Those kids are in elementary school, but they use words to describe AS that you wouldn't normally think of.

I have AS. Many people have referred to me as retarded or illogical simply because they dont understand my line of thinking. it gets quite frustrating at times.. Especially when they use logical fallacies to justify their reasoning for an answer that makes absolutely no sense. A good example are those pesky creationists.
