Magnetic Rings - Trial # 3

I have decreased the diameter of the inner ring to 3/4 the diameter of the out ring. In time I will use new magnets for the outer ring of a larger diameter.

My current set up works pretty well, and the inner ring does not need extra weight on it, to keep it inside the outer ring.

Thanks Alien NRG. Where others have failed, I will succeed. :-) I feel I have a better understanding of how this device works, than most people do and I am going to build the whole device, and hopefully create magic.

Thank you! I am pleased with what Ive made, but it is not self sustaining yet, so I will continue to tinker with it until I get it right. Building the full Hamel design is my ultimate goal.

I applaud your efforts. You have a huge challenge ahead to get this working. The pesky thing about permanent magnets is that they tend to find an equilibrium with other permanent magnets.

I hate it when that happens...you had that balanced very well. I have built something similiar about five years ago.
