  • I've been off the grid up in the smokies. Heard the news about Leslie on my radio late at nite. Hit me hard.

Leslie's music and guitar playing and singing has inspired me for over 40 yrs.

I hope he is doing well.

  • @BlueRoseRocketBand2 One thing is for certain, Leslie is not letting this get him down. He is recovering. He is joking around. He is the same Leslie he was before. His inner spirit is one for the ages. Very very few can dig this deep. His new album is out in a few days. Leslie refused to delay it. He's promoting it everywhere. He's going on tour 3 Guitar Heroes with Michael Schenker and Uli Roth. Leslie West is just influencing everyone around him, from the shining sea to Mountain high

  • Dear Mr. West, I was so sorry to hear of your surgery, and I wish you a speedy recovery. You have been an inspiration to me for many years, and I was lucky to see you with Mountain and WB&L back in the day. You have brought much joy to me and countless others with your virtuosity, both as a singer and guitarist's guitarist. Thank you, Mr. West. Get well soon!!!! With great Respect, Lee Negin

  • @passingphasemusic So well put. Leslie is doing as well as can be expected, and in fact will be starting physical therapy very soon, God willing. He's got the heart and soul of a lion, and is one tough son-of-a-gun. He is inspiring many more than just guitarists around him these days, that's for certain.

  • Dude... why is he so good? Its unreal, such simple guitar playing conveying such massive feeling.

  • @DrivenMind When you have 99.98% of popular guitar players today focusing on speed, then you have a man from a different era, who focused almost solely on guitar tone, playing every note like its going to be his last, you get a music that's simply as memorable as it is unique. Noone knows how to work the knobs of an amp, or bend a string as effectively as Leslie West. Isn't it great we can still see him playing, after all these years?

  • The greatest guitarist of our time. Leslie Able West. My almost dad and teacher.

  • What a great rendition of these tunes...I'm a big Jeff Beck fan and I like this version just as well as Beck's. Saw him do this live a couple of years ago and he hasn't missed a beat since the first time I saw the original Mountain...and neither has Corky. Thanks for posting.

  • My brother, I couldn't be prouder. A gift that I never tire of.
