wow seriously wow. I would never want these people to rescue me or whatever the FIRETRUCK they were doing (see what I did there?). i'd rather die waiting for someone who's competent than having these assholes try and fail at saving my life.

That's the southwest side of Detroit - that's a railroad yard area - several sets of parallel tracks. I've crossed those tracks at that intersection hundreds of times. The firefighters and police were responding to an accident at the intersection. No excuse to park on active tracks like that for the cops or fire. That cost a bankrupt city a six figure fire truck.

it looks like they were responding to something else in the intersection, without even thinking about their own situation.
Besides the police car that backed out of the way, looked like there were 2 more in the intersection blocking traffic.

@pfd7slick Are you serious? How were they supposed to know a fire truck was on the track?! The fire truck driver was an idiot for parking there. You clearly know nothing about railroading. Also the train came around a blind curve doing the legal track speed. How are you supposed to know what on the other side of a blind curve if you can't see around it?! Very idiotic comment the train crew did nothing wrong.
