Chickens in the Yard - part 2

Chickens aren't allowed within Salem's residential areas but 'Chickens in the Yard' is hoping to persuade Salem city council to revise it's ordinance so that residents in Salem will be allowed to keep a few backyard hens. Backyard chickens from Portland Oregon are also shown and emphasise how chickens can be kept in urban back yards as pets and for eggs the benefits they can bring. Part 1 is available here:

You've got my vote , and i live in Staunton VA. I had twenty girls, I did my research and the city said they couldn't find an ordinance but still made me get rid of my girls. It's really sad because we had the opportunity to feed hungry families right here in our own neighborhood.

Just maybe the ordinance has more to do with Roosters than Hen, now roosters those bad boys a whole diffrent matter, perhaps thoses would be a

problem slight for one's neighors....
