Australian coverage of our recent election here in Kenya shows that they are understanding of our crisis. They see our need for aid in Kenya, and the need elsewhere in Africa for immigration as refugees.

But Australia is offering neither. Australia prefers to observe and report and does nothing to assist in our time of need.

Australia has completely halted all black African immigration to their country since October 2007. Not even bona-fide refugees from Africa are acceptable to Australians. This action was undertaken by their government in contravention of the UN Human Rights Charters to which Australia is a signatory, and also in spite of our mutual membership to the Commonwealth of Nations.

Australia is not held responsible to take any refugees from any country. We are not responsible to make a refuge for people displaced because of problems in Africa. Australia takes in more than it's fair share of refugees.

for all of his good will and optimism, it did not help us. all it did was tell to the world the situation was not as desperate and serious as it really was. we all knew how it would play out, but he misinformed the world and it harmed us, not helpful at all

the reporter has nothing at stake in this outcome. he go back to his country safe and sound and live well with his family if he wants. but we are here ... we are living with the troubles for the rest of our days. so we have more at stake than him. we cannot be neutral if we are to get a result that we can accept. the reporter does not care. but i do care what happens to kenya. so is easy for him to be neutral. it is not about being "civilised". it is about our heritage.

Uhhh again this fact is already known to us educated folks.. What does that matter? We need oil we now have oil. Now since we are a democracy and we have hardly any corruption in our government we are the only chance this world has to any peace. We now have the fuel to maintain our way of life. We would have like to have bought it but since the money was being used badly we took it.

the vote was invented as a way to resolve political disputes instead of force. The vote is based on the public choosing their leader openly and publicly for all to see. If all do not see their will expressed fairly then violence is the only way to determine leadership. sooner or later.
