  • im 16 and i was diagnosed with ITP at the age of 10

  • Im 45 and was diagnosed with ITP last year.

I did the Prednisone thing, and have the complications that go with it.

  • I was 26/27 when diagnosed with ITP. Spleen quit working.

Doctor said I had three options at the time.

No surgery, and hope no one touched or hit me, cause I would hemorrhage.

Take prednisone rest of my life, not an option to me.

    Or surgery to remove spleen.

All is good now 29 years later. No problems.

  • i'm 17 and i have had chronic ITP since i was 2 and i just wanna say, to any parents out there who are worried about their kid who has this problem, chin up, your child is tougher than they look, im living proof of that, my count has been as far down as 2thousand before but i came back fighting, and if a stupid punk ass kid like me can over come this, so too can your child. i hope this has helped ease some worry, and i hope your kid gets better :)

  • my daughter she is 4 yrs old has ITP for about two years now we tryed to do everything we can for naturally but nothing worked now she has a 11thosand and I as a mother wish I can help her in anyway,,,so we thinking of having a bone marrow aspiration done for her...i PRAY IT GOES WELL FOR HER AND WE DONT HAVE TO GO BACK TO HEMATOLOGIST ANYMORE EVER...

  • My dad had itp he was diagnosed with it when i was 1. He died when I was almost 3. He fought for so hard, but back then they really didn't know how to treat it and nothing worked for him. His platelets got down to 1,300. He had 4 brain bleeds and his spleen removed. Itp is so hard on the patients and the families. All of you seem like you are doing very well! I'm so happy to hear It! I will keep all of you in my prayers! Happy holidays
