AO 2010 Feds last win in a Slam. There's no doubting Feds record, but let's face facts, his best days are over, Novak's the man. Fed can finish his career losing in the semi or quarter finals from now on. This is not disrespecting the great man, but his time is over. Want to prove me wrong? Let's see Feds make it happen, he just has to hope he's not in Nadal's draw as we all know how that is going to go down.

@fractalheadache Yeah, you're saying the same thing and I'm not waxing lyrical at all. I'm making a case using facts and figures that you are not addressing. On his best day possibly beat Djoko? Pfft, he beat him at RG 11 and only barely lost to Djoko at USO 10 and 11, having matchpoints.

Again, the game has changed, less finesse and more brutality. I've heard several times commentators saying Fed has to change to the new style rackets, he's getting out-hit and his once winning shots are getting charged down by the new fitter and stronger new boys. Wax lyrical all you want, Feds can't handle the high top-spinnig ball of Nadal and on his BEST day he can possibly beat Djoko, but I can't see it happening all too often.

...2 titans is going on, when in reality all of Nadal's balls land pretty much right in midcourt, and NOT because 'Djoko doesn't give him time'. Just look at it, the last 2 games of the AO especially: PLENTY of time for Nadal but he's simply refusing to make any angles, apparently too afraid of winning -which apparently wasn't part of the deal...

@fractalheadache He was simply hitting straight into Djoko's racket, as if refusing to make Dkjoko run, refusing to create angles, refusing to try anything, certainly refusing to hit winners or set them up with a few strokes. Check out the last 2 games of the AO, when the dynamic is VERY visible -although basically the same thing is going on all throughout the match. LOTS of grunting and hard-hitting, SUGGESTING to the dullwitted spectator that a brutal carnage between...

...unfolding before my eyes.
(I specify this because most people can't do this and don't trust their own senses. They simply see what they figure must be going on and imagine if in reality something else would be going on, surely some authority would have brought this to their attention). Well, so if one actually, REALLY, observes Nadal's losses at the AO and USO to Djoko, well then one must realize that Nadal wasn't trying to win these matches.

@fractalheadache One always has to be vigilant interpreting statistics, son, and I'd add that if we simply LOOK at Rafa psychologically and at his game, it seems something isn't going well at all. One can actually sense there's an entire bizarre, rather suspicious vibe surrounding Rafa. I find Rafa's matched against Djoko simply bizarre and I've looked at them closely, MYSELF, simply using my own processing skills assimilating what my own senses perceive of the matches...
@jdub81sbm You hate him for beating Roger and Rafa?! Some people are quite the douches, you included.
