@n00bcak35 that is a 65, 66 had different front end and its definately not a 67. 67 had more curves to it and more of a fastback

Kevin, I noticed a couple of negative shots at your comments. Obviously from people who don't know SHIT about real gassers.
You hit it right on the head. The Stone, Woods and Cook Willies is probably one of the best known Gassers of all time. To you tuner/posers out there, LOOK IT UP! While your doing that, look up the name "Ohio George Montgomery". Those are real gassers, not this bogus Galaxie.

A gasser is a late '50s-early '60s style race car, usually with a straight axle. Back then the slicks were rather hard and traction was a problem. People used straight axles to raise the front and help with weight transfer to the rear wheels. Real gassers had rear ends close to stock height, as raising the back end would only negate the gains from the straight axle. This car would have been laughed off the track.
