@BoomBoxJakey i hear you man. that sound is so over used and played out. every turntablist and dj wants to flare and crab with the ''aaahhh' sample. makes them all sound the same.
-
i'love scratching, and i love to to scratch the ''aaahhh'' sound too, but can we(turntablists and d.j.s) find a new sound to use..this sound is like the auto-tune that everyone uses to sing or rap with.. so over used that it makes the original sound unoriginal , old and tired..

sorry NO but its 1fwd 2bk 2fw 1bk (you`re doing autobahns) thats why it sounds wront m8

the fuck? a hundred guitarists can tune their guitars in the same way and still come out sounding completely different from each other. Drums can be tuned to sound loose or tight. So that argument doesn't hold. Cutting this sample, regardless of the technique, will still come out sounding like that sample. And what's more, these dj's are still cutting it at the same pitch and speed. You're gonna argue that all vocalists sound the same now right?
For all of you cornballs who still don't get it - The mystery Grand Master in Hawaii, that Q-Bert claimed to be training under, was just one of his alter ego characters he made up.
Back in 2000, when he first announced he was moving to Hawaii, people asked him why, and in typical Q fashion, he ran a skit for an answer, and said it was so he could go train with a secret Grand Master.
There was never any actual physical person. Ever.
