I've known this for a while, but every time I try to shift without the clutch it just sounds and feels terrible. So I stick to using my clutch.

You do not have to use the clutch when you shift up on a motorcycle, i have never hurt a gearbox in doing so. All you do is when you are ready to shift, back off the throttle for a brief second and shift gears. On the way down i like to use the clutch, but you can just blip the throttle and change down, no damage to your gearbox and your hand doesnt get sore.

Thanks for this video buddy. i have one question: I have a kx 125, its a 2 stroke. so basically to cluchless you simply let off the power and shift up? and it works going up and down the gears and wont damage your bike whatsoever? I have road cluchless quads for ages so its kinda like with riding one of those where you get to high ish rpm let off the gas shift then apply the gas again? and it wont damage your clutch or gears as long as you let of the gas fully?

@mrzach111 you know nothing. you can accelerate faster and if you can do it good, it isnt bad for the engine. n00b

That is because you are dumb!
I know a guy that sounds like you and he breaks everything he touches :D

@VipersPure i always shitf my kx125 2stroke without clutch^^

thank you for the explanation,i'm always argueing with my friends about this because they think shifting without a clutch harms your transmission
-
Wow, this was very usefull. So according to you, shifting without the clutch in high rpm's is not so smart?

well i learned something, thx
Then why the hell cant i shift gears in my truck without it grinding and without rev matching like on a bike -.-

@MicroOrginisum Because your truck must not have a sequential transmission.

okay quick question, what would happen if u shifted gears on a normal like 2 stroke bike with the trottle on and not using the clutch or only partally pulling the clutch in? would you be able to do it (not saying i want to) but could u

@VipersPure You can power shift if you know when to do it with the throttle on but you have to know when to do it. It is harder on the transmission though and if you force it in this is how you can bend your shifting forks. Pulling in the clutch is the other way to power shift, pull in clutch and keep throttle wide open and shift. That method would be easier on the shifting forks.
