@angnurbu that's because newar are also kirat my friend. the oldest newari group are kiratis.

Awale, Kumah, Prajapatis,Kumvahkara, Kumhara, Kumhale, Maharjans, Dangols, Nayos, Tepehoys are some of the original inhabitants of the Kathmandu valley and they are Kiratis who were left behind in the kathmandu after licchavis takeover. that's why some newari group have similar trait, be it in their language, culture and their physical resemblance with rais and limbus.

First i want to thank popinjoy9 for sending me this video.

Secondly i want to tell how proud i am that Kiratis through living in Canada is celebrating this great sakewa/sakela sili. Remember Nepal is 5070 years old as of this year regards to Yale Sambat.

And about this sakewa/sakela sili this is about thanking mother earth for all the fruits/food it has given us. And for thanking mother nature for blessing us with water, sunlight for our daily survival.
