@NamelessBert yes .. its been 8 months since my surgery and im doing so awesome. feel so much better and cant even tell they removed it. i quit smoking of course and i dont even cough like i did and i dont weese anymore either. you gonna have that done yourself??

@prettypaine :o did the lobectomy work?
-
I am 60 and just had my upper lobe removed from adenocarcinoma. I never smoked in my life and was only around heavy smokers, in the workplace for about 4 months 40 yrs ago. My point is that there was an xray taken 8 years prior with the spot and because I was a non smoker they never followed up till they found it again doing a pneumonia xray. just make sure they track the spots, more often even if you are a non smoker.

i found out a few weeks ago i have lung cancer and going in march 1st for a lobectomy my pulmanary specialist and surgeon both said the same thing to me as other drs have said. cancer is genetic. not always from smoking. they have patients that have smoked 3 packs a day and are in perfect health and people that dont smoke who get lung cancer
doesn't sound like lot of progress has been made ... what a shame .
