@MrTuxedoCat1 I think the Man is meant to be the devil or a demon who's critisising Jesus, and Amy is singing as Jesus or as Mary defending him saying, 'You won't rise above, your evil.' I don't really acknowledge the lyrics unless I sing along to it. Personally, I don't believe the lyrics are true (I'm an nihlistic atheist), but Amy's a christian and Evanescence was a christian rock band so I doubt she'd call Jesus a lie.

It sounds like she is singing about Jesus on the cross and dying for us but this song is about lies.....but Jesus isn't a lie. I love this song but I am confused about its meaning.

@Kinpatsulozz44 I suppose your right, I'd say a good musician is one with amazing/good/reasonable technical ability who can write a good song. I suppose you want to know what a good song is, well, something that I havn't heard before, something that affects me emotionally, lyrics play a part but some of my favourite songs don't even have lyrics. Also, I know about my name, I'm just really uninventive so I couldn't think of anything else.
