Ignore these morons. There is a reason SWAT and many special ops/seals are taught krav maga methods for disarming. Keep up the good work.

The result is clearence which is why we instruct students to open space clear and ready the weapon as quickly and effectively as possible. Don't knock it until you have tried it! or continue to sit on your throne (sofa) and be the internet warrior that you are! We are used of critics in Krav Maga, but it doesn't hurt to open your mind and maybe learn something new, that never hurt anyone. I will upload a clip of the gun defence with a loaded airsoft just for your viewing pleasure. Ciao!

The reason for this boils down to the mechanics of the body, when the defender commits to the move and grabs for the gun and wrist while dropping underneath simultaneously, there is approximately a delay of .3 seconds before the aggressors eye picks up on that movement, it takes another .3 seconds for the message to reach the brain and be processed and at least a further .2 of a second for the brain to send a message via the nervous system to the trigger finger to pull the trigger.

That is an absurd statement - test with a real gun then tell me. Why would I do that? To inflate my ego? or to satisfy your curiosity? Don't be so childish in your assumptions JoPollo, these techniques Have been presure tested many times with airsofts, paintball guns and simunition rounds and also have been scientifically proven to be effective. The defenders action, once they commit 100% and do not hesitate on the way from the initial movement, is ALLWAYs faster than the aggressors re-action.

@verboactivo - This defense is really effective against someone who verbally orders you to raise your hands up. It shows them that visually, you are unarmed. If the person with the gun isn't trained and doesn't ask you, then be careful what you do before you disarm him because he's untrained and probably is testy on the trigger. Either way, if he's standing in front of you, it's relatively easy to disarm. The technique to do it from the front is generally the same, it wont be too hard.

who should i believe!!! i saw in another video that the atacker should not see my hands beacuse it would make the defense more dangerous!!
