I am so thankful to the Almighty Father for the success of my mother's surgery. Thanks to Dr. Axel Elises (Cancer Surgeon, St. Vincent Hospital) for his expert hands during the operation and Dr. Melvin Ocleasa (Resident Surgeon, Cebu City Medical Center) for allowing Mama to be admitted at CCMC though it's merely exclusive for "Sugbuanons"; to Dr. Gorgonia Padilla-Panilagao (Endocrinologist, Chong Hua Medical Arts) for pushing Mama to pursue the laboratory exams; to Dr. Estella (MHARS General Hospital) for informing me about the injectable medicine given to Mama once every 2 months; to the beautiful nurses of CCMC for taking good care of Mama especially at night time. Mama was diagnosed with malignant 'papillary carcinoma' (metastatic) 19 years after her operation in goiter. Dr. Mintalar advised us to refer the biopsy result to an endocrinologist. Thanks to Prof. Aida Nisnisan & her daughter, "Mareng" Lowella Nisnisan for introducing Dr. Elises to us; for the altertive options given to us by Ma'am Jeeneth Macahis; to my cousins Rojean & Vickloy, Ronnel & his wife Edna for extending their arms in times of emergency; to LC Pension House at Jones Ave. for a very affordable yet comfortable shelter; to my MA instructors: Dr. Tablan, Dr. Buenavidez & Dr. Jumuad for giving me special exam; to our school principal Madam Ione Canonigo for her kindness; to my wife Charyn for letting me hear the voice of my 1 yr. old son thru the phone while saying his 1st word, star; to "Pareng" Glenn Cabatuan & "Mareng" Cindy Yasay for their prayers and to all the people of Cebu.
