@Pandacapricorn The first time I heard that song was in instrumental form on Sesame Street as a preschooler. I didn't know the song had words until I saw the Bell graduation ceremony for the first time when I transfered to Bell in thrid grade. I seem to recall how you could hear a teacher say "sing" and was probably signing to cue the deaf kids to start signing the words to "Land of Hope & Glory" at the ceremony.
I graduated from Bell in 1984. I just had a dream last night that I had to attend Bell again and had to participate in the 8th grade graduation rehearsal again, which sticks out in my mind as the lamest thing I ever performed in! I remember singing "We're On Top," "Greatest Love Of All" (2 years before Whitney Houston covered it), "I Can See Clearly Now," "Bell School Alma Mater," and "Land Of Hope & Glory."
Gosh too many typos we had our 95th bday celebration at bell today
