Auto-cntrl signals but PC is not used, like Part 1. This movie shows two special colored signals used in Japan. Usual single-Green(G) signal means 130km/h limit. Double-Green(GG) signal which permits 160km/h can be seen only in Hokuetsu Express Railway. Their rapid train is the fastest train on the Japanese-standard gauge (1069mm). Keihin Express railway in Tokyo is devout to increase the traffic density. They are using Flashing-YG between YG(70km/h) and G, which means 95km/h. Next movie (Part 6) will be the North-American type signal (FL-Y4 aspect, incl. dark).

  • This is cool, 5 stars. Ive been thinking about building something like this myself. I have some track and locos, just need to find the time. :)

What are you using as the sensor for your blocks? Some sort of optical sensor or track circuits of some kind?

Would appreciate if you can share more details.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for watching this movie. How to assemble this circuit is shown in my web site, including all the tech. info. The track- current-detection sensors are used, which is similar to Digitrax DBL16x but consists of much more simple circuit. Now, I am trying to spread this signaling system through a Japanese publishing company.
