Peter was not called a rock, but a stone.
Jesus saying he would build His Church upon the rock was referring to Himself, because He was the Rock cut without hands.
Search the Scriptures for in them we think we have eternal life.

@demonearl: I suppose It's called faith or hope. When you believe in something or someone THAT is called having faith. I believe there is something more beautiful waiting for us when we die. You have faith in people right? Well it's the same thing with us we have faith that he Exists. I'm not going to preach to you. Not because I don't care. I believe It's between you and God. Not you and I. I'm sure people have told you that Jesus loves you right? These people actually care about you. ^_^

@demonearl : Well....God means different things to different people. God is supposed to be love in It's purest form for some people to others he is wrathful and throws people they do not like into hell. Honestly I believe hell is for monsters. People who kill rape and beat people and children and ENJOY it. Child killers belong there so do Rapist. People who are so evil that they can't be called human anymore.

It's about 40 miles from the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee to Caesarea Philippi. On a map, you might see it listed as "Banias," or "Dan." It's more than a long walk ... it's a terrific climb.
