Hit songwriter Harold Payne reveals the history behind his song "Daylight" which he co-wrote with Bobby Womack. The song reached the top 5 on the Billboard charts for Womack, and was later recorded by Leon Russell and Vickie Sue Robinson among others.
Recently it was recorded by singer Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child for her album "Ms. Kelly" and used in her film "Asterix at the Olympic Games".
Amazing Harold. Daylight is an amazing song and timeless! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I wish more people knew that you wrote the song and appreciate this. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to know the story of this great song!
