I finished the hardwood floor in the bedroom of the new addition. I used dark oak called gunstock and light oak called natural. It took a lot of work because the pattern I developed requires lots and lots of cuts. It was also very difficult to get the wood to fit so close especially since I just used a table saw and a chop saw to make the cuts. All in all I think it came out pretty good.

    I like doing the wood floors best. I have put cork in the dinning room and in the den I plan to do hardwood (like the bedroom) except I will make the light part out of dark wood and the dark part out of light wood. I will post some pictures when I get it done.
