@yoohoosgrrrl I know of a better way... soak mattresses in kerosine.... take them outside your house and away from dry vegetation... then, burn!

one time i went to this restraunt that you could eat outside at and to keep away flies, they hung bags of water o the ceiling and it works! it is really cool i didn't see a single fly :)
