  • How much room temprature is required to mak yogurt?

  • @Ashfaq12bc Room Temp or even a little bit warmer..too much warm and yogurt turns sour!

  • That cup you are using looks like it holds at least 16 oz if not more. So how much milk are we talking here? Also, what size spoon are you using? Does the yogurt you add have to be plain or could you use a flavored store-bought yogurt as starter? If you want to make blueberry yogurt is it the same thing and you just mix in some blueberries after 6 hours?

  • @christo930 I use a std 1 big cup coz usually I just make it for 1-2 people & I consume it within couple of days. it does turn better when you use more qty of milk. if you are using 2 (500 ml) or 3 cups of milk, add culture accordingly ( 2-3 tbsp). I've never made it with flavored culture. I use plain yogurt as a starter & when i am about to eat, i flavor it as per my cravings (adding strawberrys, blueberries, granola for sweet taste or boiled potatoes/cucumber salt/pepper etc for salty one)

  • Wow, Thank you!

  • @acrow11 No problem!

  • well, i thought i'm watching how to make yoga at home...

  • @ratnasoundarya If the milk is on hotter side rather than being luke warm or if the room temperature is hot rather than being normal then dahi can become watery. Just beat it up and it should be fine water gets mixed in..Oh yeah use luke warm yogurt sample...Also I have been advised by my elders that dahi should be set in a dish that has narrow mouth (not sure whats behind that theory though..)
