@Smitamas101 It generally IS about curing cancer and suchlike, idiot. They use the glow-in-the-dark gene to track the presence of other altered genes, such as ones which they think might help prevent aids or limit the chances of certain cancers. Amazingly, leading scientists are not just messing around making glowing animals for the fun of it.
