When Draco was a puppy, I started teaching him to ring a bell when he needed to go outside. I soon figured out that there was no need to, as he had devised his own way of telling me that it's potty time. he gives me a few low grunts to get my attention, then when I ask if he needs to go, he turns around, almost as if he's saying "yes." It really is crazy -- sometimes he won't respond, but will turn around if I ask if he's hungry -- almost like a form of sign language. I know some people will think it's boring, but I just wanted to demonstrate how smart Dobermans really are! As you can see, he ended up training ME. :)

my doberman is 17 weeks aqnd still hasn'tr got a clue to go outside .we have been very consistant with him and he goes in the house every day numerous times.He is definately not one of the smarter dogsIO've owned and trained
