  • Yes and no. It's not as easy as DC or DCC but with a bit of practice, it get easier.

  • can u use the same power clip from a dc controller???

  • The controller feeds power to the track via a standard Hornby power track. The only difference is that the wire from the LS controller is a lot more 'beefy' (to take the extra load) and doesn't have the clip. You press the buttons on the power track and push the wires in.

  • how much did it cost you???

  • Live steam locos are about £160 and the controller another £120 at todays prices. The layout cost next to nothing because it was built from bits of wood in my garage. :-)

  • is it worth the money?

  • Yes and no. Yes for the fact you get a lot of satisfaction running them but no in the way that it's a big outlay and you can't run more than one at a time.

    But if you are a real steam fan, then it's a big yes!
