I feel ya... I had a 40-42 inch pike come up to the side of my boat,gave me an awsome side view of him and shook his head and broke the line after 12 minutes of playing with him.

Can you tell me what ice-fishing shelter you are fishing in?

@358Norma. This is the Clam X-Thermal ice house. Great house. If your gonna get a shelter, make sure to get a insulated one like the X-Thermal. Worth the extra money and you stay way warmer than normal shelters. I also modified my portable by putting some LED lights in it and a stereo system. There is a video of my modification in my other videos.

Been there :) Next time, put your rod right down through the hole so you're not rubbing your line against the bottom of the ice.

Thanks for the tip. I will think of that next time. My line didn't break, the hook came off. That's why the fish got off.
