Of course, the second 50 years of MGM's history has involved a shutdown of the studio for several years, a buyout of United Artists, a takeover by Ted Turner that not only failed but robbed MGM of their history, two failed takeovers and constant teetering with bankruptcy. And Kirk Kirkorian.
