Reception of XEW 900 am on a Sony SRF39FP Radio In Northern Ireland - 0718 local time, 27-9-08. Sound is through an earbud into the cameras mic so not perfect.
You can listen to XEW cause it has Free International Frequency, what means they exclusively use 900am in all the continent for old agreements... and broadcasts with 250 000 Watts
Where I live in Southern Cal. (Indio CA), it's a daily occurence to get Mexican radio signals other than Mexicali or Tijuana. XEW 900 is the flagship radio station in Mexico, the TV station channel 2 (available across the country through transmitters) is owned by Televisa and their logo is the two-sided star. Certain radio sets can receive some Central American and South American radio signals (rarely spoken in English), which feels strange and creepy to get signals 5000 miles away. +
