The Brothers Johnson - The Real Thing Live 1981

Here is The Brothers Johnson doing their hit single from the "Winners" LP. Winners was a record that for the life of me I can't understand why it wasn't a success. It is equal to anything they produced from Quincy Jones. I think the lack of name association killed them, but they still churned out some of the greatest, sophisticated funk out there and Louis is simply the greatest bass player of all time.

I don't think so, I missed the Behind the music special with them on it. It is a shame because they are awesome and missed many years together, but I believe everything is fine now.

well that's good. last i'd heard (which may have been close to three years ago), they were feuding about something i can't recall. i certainly hope they've moved on from that, and are making good music together again. life's too short.
