During the first part of the semester, Cinema Production 2 students are split into groups and given a project in order to familiarize themselves with the Aaton 16mm camera and the Tascam recorder.
The class is given a line upon which they base their film. Ours was "A picture is worth a thousand words." T. J., Dave, Nick, and I took turns in different crew positions throughout the film shoot. We each had to edit our own version of the film once it was processed.
This was my edit. It's a little rough, and there's not much in the way of music/sound effects. (and maybe I shoulda put the numbers farther into the upper-right corner). But I wanted to be silly with this video, and I hope it works.
PS: According to UrbanDictionary, Will Ferrell coins the term "scrumptulescent" during his James Lipton impression on "SNL".
I think the numbers are fine where they are (or even coulda been more inframe), but maybe, knowing that they were going to be onscreen, the scene should have been filmed with more space between the border and the characters. The male character's acting is quite amusing, in a good way.
