Martyn and Appleblim certainly sound nothing like Bop. And the similarities between Mount Kimbie, Vaccine and Bop are minimal (no pun intended).

dont give this minimal dnb more credit than it deserves...its just further proof off dnb's amazing ability to mix well with virtually any other genre...tho, if everybody starts doing this it will become a burnt out joke like liquidfunk & techstep did...but anyway, BOP RULEZ! LULZ!0!~:

Personally, I feel if you find liquid a "burnt out joke" then your just not looking in the right places, and at the right producers and tunes.

oh no, there's def. plenty of great liquidy-esque tunes floating around (can't wait for 'wax poetic' to come out!)...but the balk of it is some lame shit...because everybody started making it once generated a little attention...just as alot of people are doing with this stuff now or are no doubt about to be...

Ah, I agree there. Thats one of the things about electronic music in general, though. It's always searching through the mediocre to find the gems.
The only thing about this style of mininal DnB is that it will never become as popular as liquid because it's not really suitable for playing out in most clubs. The closest you really get is the sort of thing Instra:Mental and D-Bridge are putting out at the moment.
Plus the fact most of this 'microfunk' style is made in Russia, haha.
