The HFV6 was designed by Holden and Cadillac, all HFV6 engines in cars sold in Australia are manufactured in Melbourne. All of the V6 engines in Pontiac G8s were also manufactured in Melbourne.

GM is not Chevrolet. Chevrolet is only a part of GM, just like Opel, Vauxhall and Holden.

Wait... why do people do this (American asking here)? I mean, we sold a few of the Holdens here as Pontiacs and we currently sell the Caprice as a police-only vehicle... so why are Australians putting Chevrolet badges on Holdens?

I don't get how so many people keep saying the V8 is a chevy engine it is a GM engine, used in chev, pontiac, holden, vaxhaul, opel etc

why aren't there early commo's with opel badges? why aren't there vn v6 commo's with buick badges? why aren't there vl commodores with nissan badges? hell I could go on all day! and to answer the why questions, it's because THEY ARE FUCKING GAAAAAAAYYYY! and anybody with miss matched badging is a fucking LOSER!
