This was taken at the 2006 Miramar Airshow. The majority of the video is from the "bubble" seat.

  • I love being a pilot :)

  • May you please explain what the bubble seat is? I think I may have an idea but am not sure. What my idea was where you seat down in a bubble window and is able to look at the C-130's moves 360 degrees around. Good video I love the Blue Angels. I like the Thunderbirds to but between these to Blue Angels kick butt talking about talent wise.

  • well im only 15 so theres almost no way in hell im doin that anytime soon

  • and then you have to submit a package to headquarters requesting to fly with the blue angels on fat albert and you have to be chosen

OR... if you know someone who knows someone that hooks you up with a ride on fat albert

flying with the blue angels in the 2 seater jets is damn near impossible its for like super VIP's only

  • to ride... join a branch of the US military, show up at the designated meeting place during an airshow they are participating in, for the bubble seat you have to be the first one to ask or the first one there or something idk they may let other people ride too but they didnt let civilians go when i was there so i dont know

to be part of the crew... you have to join the Marine Corps with aircrew as ur job and then you have to end up on KC-130's and train to be either a loadmaster or crewchief

  • what do you do to even ride on fat albert in general?

  • well its a makeshift seat that makes use of the center overhead escape hatch as a domed window (the bubble) instead of the flat circle hatch that is normally there and you sit on the ceiling avionics rack with a makeshift seat belt. On normal military c-130's the bubble is put in the front overhead escape hatch because it is much easier to use there since there is a bunk there to sit on instead.

  • whats the bubble seat? ive never heard of that

  • Awesome.
