Hello Youtubers. Seeburgsrock came over and rebuilt my 6-EY-1 and we filmed it to show you how to solder and replace the capasitors in the amp. The tools and sprays are available at Radio Shack. Glen showed me how easy it is to make the RCA sound and work great again. Of course always be careful and have the amp un-plugged before doing anything. Common sense is always needed when trying something for the first time Be sure to check out his channel on Youtube. Thanks Glen!!

  • DeSoto, You and Glen did an excellant job on this video. You on the camara and Glen doing the resto was a winning combo! I'm no longer afraid to tackle a job like this and I have the perfect candidate for my first attempt. Thanks for doing this video, You've unwrapped the mystery!

  • Great video guys!!

  • Ah, brings back memories of rebuilding the amp and preamp and Tormat receiver and autospeed in my Seeburg... upwards of 100 caps and resistors! It seemed to take forever and I was so glad when it was done - AND WORKED RIGHT. Glen did a bang-up job here! He is the man! Everything including the cartridge sounds great Rich... I bet you're just floating on a cloud!!

  • Oh this is so great!!!! I have to get ready for work. Bummer. I will watch the rest of this later this evening!!! How cool the two of you getting together AND sharing your vast knowledge and skills with us!!! I want to learn how to do this after the prices I've paid to get my players going. Thanks Desoto!!!!

  • Excellent video Glen, It's very important that we teach as many people as possible to rebuild these historical little phonographs & keep them in existance as long as we can!

Thanks for the acknowledgement of my DVD restoration kits & keep up the good work!

    Sincerely, KIERONSPAL
