@1100HondaCB I guess we let the cat out of the bag..... top gear is only a cruising gear.... (on most stock bikes) if you want to reach top speed you have to just leave it in 5th and wind it out.... 6th gear on mine would only get me about 185mph...to bust past the 200mph mark it had to be in 5th........ (police helicopters can only fly about 130-135 mph ).....thank God those days are over......now I only ride slow stuff like my shovelhead

@shovelniron I had a KH125 that did that. If you kept it in 4th rather than 5th, it would actually go faster.

@pedromylona actually if you leave it in 5th gear it will reach the 200mph mark... if it's in excellent mechanical condition... lot's of guys with the old ZX11's don't know that if you leave it in 5th gear it will actually go faster than if you shift into 6th..... I did a sproket swap on my old ZX11 and I clock over 215mph on mine...
