The very first W.D.C tournament at "The Talk" nightclub Norwich October 1992.
This event used the equal darts rule. First round action. Great last leg.

  • @tmac901819 They should definitely resurrrect the rule for one tourney at least. Great seeing strategy added to the tension.

  • WTF was that all about?

  • @mpw180

Alot of matches in this tourney were decided by someone winning a half a leg it was a great equalizer for someone who is a great finisher but not a great scorer hence why Gregory won the tourney awesome finisher in his day

The Equal Darts rule is as follows and makes a real advantage to shooting 2nd in a leg if you can finish your leg in an equal darts as your opponent you split the leg so you each get a half so if you shoot a 15 darter and i shoot one as well we both get a half but if i miss and didnt finish in the 15 darts you get the whole leg added to your total for the match.

Its a great equalizer too bad you dont see it these days would make some of the newer stuff more exciting

  • @tmac901819 what is the equal darts rule? i dont understand it

  • Phil Won the Match and Mike Gregory won the tournament the Equal Darts rule really evened the odds out

  • Who won?
