Voici une petite animation qui montre le chemin parcouru par le qanbus du Yémen jusquà Mayotte (et en Indonésie). La musique qui accompagne cette vidéo permet d'entendre la façon de jouer de cet instrument au Yémen où il est devenu très rare. Elle est extraite du disque "Le Chant de Sanaa", par Hasan al Ajami au qanbus et Mohammed al Khamisi au plateau de cuivre (OCORA Radio France, référence C 560173). Sur le disque, Hasan al Ajami chante en s'accompagnant au qanbus. Dans cet extrait on n'entend que les instruments.

    Ocora allowed me to do it once for this very short and special video, but no more.
