1:5 scale nitro dirt bike test 1

testing the 1:5 scale nitro bike i designed/built. this was behind where i work and my boss and co-workers came out to watch :p

the front tire is custom made and comes off a few times--i need to put a belt in the next one i cast to keep it from stretching.

@MrBossman700 google "armodelling"--it's the only full production nitro dirtbike i'm aware of.

@athurnik1 I've never clocked the top speed, but on paper(factoring engine rpm, tire size and gearing) it should be able to do about 34-35mph, tops. as for cost, i spent about $400 between the engine, shafts, gears, bearings and radio equipment. not sure how much all the metal was...

@airmagc11 thanks : ) it took about a year and a half just working on it in my spare time. the frame is 6061 aluminum where bending isn't necessary, 5052 or home depot aluminum where it was. there are lots of pics in the thread i linked to in the description.
