Unfortunately Mario doesn't have a way to download those powers into him. But then again Mario never needed blaster fire to fight. All he needs is them magic feet.

Well in the end, it might have been too difficult to code in usable fireballs and capes within these games. Sometimes us gamers forget that the process to make a game is very difficult.
