This is really good information that some of our colleagues who use lasers over clothing might want to consider. I have attended seminars where they showed treatment through clothing and it made little sense to me. Thanks for posting this.

Hi Troy,
The general optical laws are valid for all light - laser or any other light source. If the material is transparent for daylight, then it is transparent for laser light. Certain material can absorb specific wavelengths - laser light or not. This can be used in filters such as heat reflecting filters. Laser protection glasses are designed to absorb a wavelength band (covering the wavelength of the laser) but transmitting as much as possible of the remainig light. Lars Hode
