  • I find it fascinating that I am able to speak English while Signing ASL, it perplexes my mind but I just do it and it works out. How? Don't ask.

I shall be going through your videos and...giving my opinion of whatever I'd like to say.

    Sincerely,

    Joshua

  • @rockmusicrockall2 There are some things in life that does not require for me to debate. This is one of these views which I thought is very absurd, to say the least. Again, can Chinese speak Chinese & Japanese at the same time? No. Same concept, same idea. SimCom was thrusted upon Deaf community by hearing people who attempted to merge spoken English with signs. It just cannot. I just saw your vlog which you used your voice & signs, I barely could not understand you. And uninterested.

  • good point out there!!! do you suppose ASL will eventually die out due to many deaf children receiving cohlear implants? i surely hope not!!!

  • Never will. Like George Veditz said, as long as Deaf people are there, ASL will be always there. CIs, like hearing aids, will come and go.

  • Hello. I see your point in this video. It would deemed a communication failure. But however, I'm HoH but I do call myself Deaf because of being raised in the Deaf world and all that; long story short: I experienced both worlds, I enjoyed both worlds. I'm more for the Deaf world, although.

Now, SimCom, I believe is fantastic. I am able to speak English and sign ASL at the same time. I know this video is very old and all that but eh; whatever, I don't care.
