Attorney General Eric Holder sought to explain his prosecutorial strategy to the Senate Judiciary Committee, where lawmakers questioned him over his decision to send Mohammed and four others to face a civilian federal trial in New York. (Nov. 18)
Authorities are afraid 911 trials will shed light on the inaction and inadequacies of homeland security before and after 911 regardless of the outcome of KSM. Hopefully it will put light on the motives of AL-Qaeda.........US unconditional support for ISRAEL(US FOREIGN POLICY).
..Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the man who conceived and directed the Sept.11 terrorist attacks, was motivated by his strong disagreement with U.S. Foreign Policy favoring Israel... 9/11 Commission Report, p147
At a certain point, a president must own a presidency. For George W. Bush that point came eight months in, when 9/11 happened. From that point on, the presidency—all his decisions, all the credit and blame for them—was his. The American people didn't hold him responsible for what led up to 9/11, but they held him responsible for everything after it. Obama, in office a month longer than Bush was when 9/11 hit, now owns his presidency. It's his now the credit and the blame.
I believe we all know what should happen here, but under the rules of a "civilized" country...these boys must have a trial. Anything less would lead to a downward spiral of life as we know it.
I hope they all go free, if it means the destruction of the Obama presidency. What's a couple more jihadists in the millions just waiting their turn? I can't believe this idiot is the attorney general! If Graham stumped Holder ! KSM is home free ! Graham was absolutely correct . Holder is setting a very dangerous president here, very dangerous. another historical experiment just like Obama.
are afraid, America. They're afraid the truth, whatever it is will come out. They're afraid that what went on pre9/11, 9/11, post 9/11, and 8years of Bush/Dick, Condy/Rummy, Colon, etc will come out. Oh baby, the Republicans are about to have their idiocy aired before the American people. The Republicans waterboarded this criminal 183 times in a month, roughly once every four hours for a month, & kept him locked up in GITMO. Justice will now be properly done. This scares the Reps.
Would we really tolerate a District Attorney saying, about any other defendant, prior to him being brought to trial -- in this age where everybody is so careful about saying, "alleged killer" "alleged shooter" "alleged rapist" -- "hey, don't worry everybody, there's no way we won't find this guy guilty."
That's an absolutely outrageous thing for an officer of the court to say in response to concerns that a defendant might be found not guilty.

Well, yes.
That was sort of my point.
