Greyhounds make great pets . If you are thinking of getting a dog PLEASE consider adopting a retired racing greyhound . I can promise you from personal experience you won`t regret it !

@JayTheJaymez most greyhounds finish racing at 2 to 4 years old so they are certainly not old when you think that they can live to be 12 years old or more . Greyhounds are very friendly affectionate dogs and you would soon get to know each other . Not sure where you live but if you google `Greyhound adoption` that should bring up some rescues in your area and give you some more info on looking after one .

@20mrcasper I want a Greyhound so bad, although we (My family) do already have two shelties and a cat, I've never had a dog of my own. I looked up the prices and the range seemed to be around $400-$1500 which is a lot of money but I'd spend it for one. I don't know about getting one that used to race, though... It wouldn't know me as well and I wouldn't know it and it would be a bit old, wouldn't it?

Love your video. I used to have a greyhound and I miss her soooooo much. Even seeing pictures of her still gets me chocked up. My wife and I saved her from being a racer and a breeder. She lived to be 14 and she was the best part of my wife and me and her little boyfriend Lex (A Chihuahua).
