This video gave me the chills just watching it. what also bothered me was the clips of the freeway. didn't they order a contra-flow?

@bilalahmed2123 Real, sizable, damaging tornadoes can and will occur sooner or later.

@airdriver Contra-flow is only in certain situations, municipalities, etc.

i guess its a normal thing for hurricane areas to be always prepared for these kinda things.
I was just wondering, when the hurricane season comes what do you guys normally do?
Keep the gas atleast half full ? keep it well tuned ? have a emergency ready to go plan ?
I live in Toronto, Ontario, so the worst we get are severe thunderstorms and some little mini tornado if any. LOL !

I know this is four years old, but I just discovered it and it gave me chills. Having lived in South Florida my whole life and living through several hurricanes, I consider myself a bit of a weather buff and love watching local news footage of the storm because it shows such an accurate picture of what the impact of the storm looks like and how it affects local people.
I would love to see more local footage if you have it. I can't seem to find many clips.

@Boonadducious glad u enjoy the local clips...just check my page I have a few from WWL in New Orleans also one from WVUE in New Orleans and one from the local station here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast WLOX.
