  • i was thinking of buying this hutch. what would you recommend instead? i need something more spacious for my rabbit, keeping in mind i live in an apt and space is limited. thank you :)

  • @MrsJohnnyMainstream Honestly, I would build my own. Seeing as you are in an apartment that may not be completely feasible for you. If you do buy this one, screw down the roof or replace the joints with something that locks better or just throw them out all together. The most important thing is that you don't rely the stock joints.

  • Thanks for the video.

I did 'bang' test my hutch after watching this video and it certainly did not drop.

Good to know though and I'll make a more solid Open bracing.

Otherwise the Ware Premium Hutches are well made and extremely easy to assemble.

  • @BHShaman It did hurt my rabbit and I really do suggest you put a better lock or brace on it.

  • @RajaofNYandPGH I'm not doubting you and appreciate your time posting the video.

I'll be putting in real brace.

  • Well I appreciate the review i wish there was more online like yours

  • Other than the latch, fine would an appropriate comment. Its pretty solid and easy to assemble. Its not the best hutch on the market and quite frankly I think its a little too low to the ground to be comfortable. The area is small for more than one rabbit and the front lock for the ramp is piss poor. There are some others online that you might want to consider, if not build your own.

  • @RajaofNYandPGH so if they fixed the latch then it would be fine

  • Yeah, its pretty unsafe. I had a rabbit get pinched pretty hard in it when it tried to hop up. I had just turned around to get food off the shelf and bam it fell. The bunny is OK now but he spent the rest of the day in pain and if it hit any organs he would have to be put down. As a mechanical engineer I would suggest they put a better locking latch. I returned it immediately and bought a simpler smaller cage.

  • so was the latch the only problem?
