  • Yes, you are knocking on my porting and don't know what you're talking about. Quick thinking one dimensionally. You drop the intake, congratulations, it opens the crankcase to the carb sooner. Did you forget to take into account that the piston is open for that same time when it comes back down? Go study the physics behind cams. I don't respond to comments like these for a reason. Explanations take time and some thought, and I'm explaining to a brick wall.

  • @briggsandclones dude, clearly you dont know what your doing, ill admit, i dont know what im doing, im not trying to knock on your porting, but you gotta realize that opening uup the intake sooner will suck in more air, im a water cooled guy, but i do have a x7(same motor) and on mine i have done a head chop to a 2 piece head. and did the piston notch and it hauls.

  • I just ported one of these for a customer of mine. You really want to lower the intake port by 2mm and raise the cylinder up by 2mm by using a thick HD gasket. The reason is that the cylinder sits too low.
