As an answer to the other remarks. As we evolve, we become more aware.And therefor more happy and sad, we become more and more aware of energies, and feeling, and how we affect everything around us. thats because our bodies have will continue to evolve for as long as the human race is alive. Your correct on saying we have no proof that they were happier but the reason we assume this is because the world we live in is a materialistic world and the conscious of those around us have lowered and people dont appreciate things as near in depth as they should thier morals, family, and just there overall appreciation for everything now we just have it and people dont realize its importance anymore

To me this song reminds me of what humans were before the Holocene, about 12000 ya. This was before domestication, and for tens of thousands of years we were more wild, but probably much happier. We were taller, stronger, more robust, and warred considerably less. Life was a constant battle for survival, but millions of years of evolution had created the most powerful species to walk the Earth. Today's culture of social stratification is a recent construct. We used to be free.
